Campaign Creation & Illustrations
The campaign focuses on reducing waste and the number of shoes going into landfills by encouraging people to donate their old Toughees to the upcycling plan with the incentive of a discount on a new pair of shoes.
The profits from the sales of the upcycled will go towards helping schools in rural areas build infrastructure that they need such as classrooms and bathrooms. This is in line with Toughees other social initiatives as they have a focus on creating comfortable learning environments for all students in South Africa.
Project Overview
The campaign I compiled for this project is titled “Go the Distance” and works with the local and widely loved brand Toughees.
The campaign is completely transparent about the process that will be used to collect the material and where the profits will go throughout all materials by using informative drawings. The campaign is both social and environmental.
I believe this campaign would be in line with the brand and impactful socially and environmentally. The up-cycled wallets would be a fun product to have if they have Toughees branding because this brand is so well-known and loved by South Africans. The consistency of the red, yellow and black brings the campaign elements together and gives the impression of the Toughees brand being involved in the campaign.
